Type Nerds Unite! Did you know that many of your favorite typefaces were designed and cast in St. Louis in the late 1800s? Among other things St. Louis was a boiling cauldron of creative typecasting at the turn of the twentieth century.

Stop by The Firecracker Press on Saturday, August 14th at 2:00pm (that's tomorrow) as we invite local historian, Bob Mullen, to talk about his book and shed light on the subject of type. How was it made and who was making it? Bob will enlighten us and the dudes at Firecracker will be printing a type specimen using, DeVinne, a font designed and made at the Central Typefoundry in downtown StL.

Don't miss this rare opportunity. You'll get a handset, and handprinted type specimen with the cost of admission. And it's only $5.00!
