Crazy Busy Weekend on Cherokee -- December 4&5
(posters by The Firecracker Press)
Too much stuff to mention everything specifically, but be sure to hit Cherokee Street this weekend!
The Third Annual Cherokee Print League Holiday Sale promises art, gifts and fun on Saturday, December 4, from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (See sights from last year's sale here.)
Says The Firecracker Press:
On December 4th from 10 am to 7 pm over 40 artists will be setting up at over a dozen locations, ready to fill your holiday shopping needs with their lovely printed wares. Enjoy the local color of Cherokee Street as you mosey from Louisiana to Indiana and all state streets in between. Firecracker Press will be open all day, and we have some new items just in time for the holidays! Make sure to drop in, and visit the Cherokee Print League website to check out all the artists and venues. You can pick up a map the day of the sale at any of the venues. See you then!
New to Cherokee this year is HoliDIY, an indie craft show being hosted by the St. Louis Craft Mafia.
What: Handmade goods you won’t be embarrassed to give or receive! Winter bar with hot holiday cocktails! Locavore noshies by the owners of the Cherokee Peach! Firepit outdoor lounge perfect for a crisp afternoon! Steampunk Santa Photo Booth! Too fantastic to miss. See a list of participating vendors here.
When: Saturday, December 4 from 11am – 6pm
Where: 3125 Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO (next to The Archive book store)
While you're on Cherokee enjoying (and buying!) the art and handcrafts, be sure to visit Cherokee's Antique Row for the the 27th Annual Cherokee Antique Row Cookie Spree -- Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Nibble on a variety of cookies while you shop.
Says St. Louis Curio Shoppe:
Local merchants on Cherokee Street, from Jefferson Blvd. east to Lemp, will offer a bounty of holiday surprises! Each unique shop will offer a variety of free holiday cookies! Enjoy music, seasonal festivities & yuletide charm.
Here at the St. Louis Curio Shoppe, 2301 Cherokee Street, we are baking up a fresh batch, or many, many batches, of Mr. B's gooey butter cookies! A St. Louis tradition!
But that's not all!
Foam Coffee & Beer at Jefferson and Cherokee will be having a big tag sale on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.:
... featuring over 2,500 vintage items from Miss Ohio Vintage, Retro 101 and Dangerous Dames as well as four independent crafters and two individual vintage sellers. The BIG Tag Sale is also showcasing a collection of upcycled vintage jewelry from Miss Ohio Vintage, designed by Mandi Cawthon, also of MyLovies. All proceeds from the collection benefit Autism Speaks. Guest Vendors include Peridot, All Things Dandy, and MiSu’s Hot Mess.
followed by an after-party for the day's events. See all the details here.
