Cheapy Tuesday is leaving St. Louisans with no excuse... going out during the week is made easy with a $2 cover and the cheapiest bar specials in town! $2 wells and PBR pint cans all night long, a dollar off everything else, and a Schlafly PowerHour - local drafts are just $1 from 8-9pm! Yetisburg is comprised of five talented Farmington, Missouri locals who met while attending high school. What started as a sort of joke between Jason and Cody (“You play piano, I play piano; we should start a band…”) has grown into an incarnation of music as uncanny as their name. With a vital and original sound that inhabits a genre all its own; Yetisburg flawlessly fuses the mechanical vibe of synthesizers with the energetic drive of bongos to create infectious, organic music that escapes definition. http://yetisburg.com/ http://myspace.com/mjpham6 http://myspace.com/mccmc http://2720cherokee.com/ http://loyalfamily.com/ |

Description
Stan Chisholm (a.k.a. 18andCounting) is an emerging interdisciplinary artist from St. Louis, Missouri who studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His drawings, paintings and mixed media installations reveal a growing cast of over 700 characters or mascots that serve as a visual lexicon for the moods, personal attributes or feelings explored in his work. Chisholm’s work has been exhibited at Laumeier Sculpture Park, City Museum (St. Louis), the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, and most recently with a solo exhibition at The Hyde Park Art Center. Chisholm is a nomadic packrat who kind of lives and works in St. Louis & Chicago.

Cheapy Art & Cheapy Tuesdays at 2720
This summer, the St. Louis Artist’s Guild and ArtDimensions are teaming up with hip local art and music venue 2720 Cherokee to bring you Cheapy Art, the profits of which will go towards sending a group of midwestern artists who might not normally have the opportunity or the means to study and exhibit in a foreign country to Jakarta, Indonesia, for an art tour abroad.
Cheapy Art Fundraisers take off of 2720 Cherokee’s weekly Cheapy Tuesdays, which include live music for a 2$ entry fee for those over 21 (7$ for those under) as well as 2$ drink specials. The SLAG part of the deal will bring art into the mix, by including in the events a silent art auction. Bidding for auction starts at $100, for pieces valued at $500 or more. For less expensive artwork ($75–$150), there’s also a spin the bottle for art game game in which, for $20, one can spin a bottle encircled by donated artwork: whichever piece the bottle ends up pointing to, that person gets to take home.
Live music, great art, cheap drinks, fun door prizes, and all for a great cause – how could you better spend a Tuesday night?
